What's a "No-Filing Service" (NFS)?

"No-Filing Service" (NFS) means you do not have to file a tax return

From the Year of 2021, you may be considered for NFS if you fall under the pre-filling scheme for Self-Employed Persons (SEPs) with a commission income of $50,000 or less and generate driving revenue as a Private Hire Car (PHC)/Taxi driver for previous and current Years of Assessment. Your employer must be part of the Auto-Inclusion Scheme (AIS) for Employment Income.

NFS is only for those who received money from a partnership or other sources automatically filled in or claimed for work-related costs in the prior Year of Assessment.

You receive your Notice of Assessment (NOA) or tax bill every April. The following are utilized to figure out your NOA:

After deducting deemed expenses, auto-included income, and the previous year's relief claims, your pre-filled income, such as commission and PHC/Taxi, generated revenue.
Please remember that you must ensure that your NOA is right. Please notify us within 30 days of your NOA if you have other income or need to correct your requests for support.

From March 1 to April 18, you can use your Singpass to check the contents of your auto-filled and pre-filled information and see a preview of your Notice of Assessment (PNOA) at myTax Portal.

If the information is correct, ask for an early assessment.
E-Filing your tax return lets you correct any errors.

You may have questions about preventing mistakes when filing your tax return electronically or on paper. Learn how to declare unreported income and common tax blunders.
